Resumption of activities and starting of TOSP
In parallel with our emergency actions to fight COVID-19 and in the light of the measures to come for the prudent and secure resumption of economic activity around the world, Engaged for Children (EFC) informs the public of the gradual resumption of its activities related to development projects.

In this context, our organization launches the Technical and Organizational Support Program (TOSP) with the aim of strengthening the capacities of small non-profit organizations in the humanitarian and development sector. This program aims to support, each year, two to three beneficiary organizations for the training of their staff in the management and use of NTIC (e.g. design and planning of projects, accounting and financial management, organizational governance and accountability, monitoring and evaluation of interventions, website design, data collection), as well as in many other relevant areas related to the functioning of a non-profit organization.
In Canada, the program will target small community organizations with or without charitable numbers, and internationally, associations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working with the most vulnerable communities, especially children and women.
This year, the TOSP is only open to Engaged for Children's partners and will be extended to other organizations starting next year.
The NGO Ensemble pour Promouvoir le Développement Socio-Economique Durable (EPDSED), a local association operating in Burundi, is the first beneficiary organization of the program. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on May 22, 2020 to support this organization in the next 6 months, in terms of its website development and the training of its staff/administrators in project design, accounting and financial management, gender-based planning, ethics and inclusion of vulnerable people (children and women) rights in the implementation of projects.
The total cost of this technical and organizational support is entirely covered by Engaged for Children.
