Joint Field Visit - Educational Resource Needs Assessment in Schools

On April 29 and 30, 2022, a joint team from Engaged for Children Burundi and King's School in Burundi visited two schools (primary and secondary) in Rutana province. The purpose of the visit was to assess the needs for educational and technological resources for student learning, including the availability of reading books for the library.

The joint team consisted of two representatives from Engaged for Children Burundi and the principal of King's School International in Burundi. The visits to the primary and secondary schools were carried out in the presence of local administrative authorities and school officials, and with the participation of the local population.

These visits are part of the project "Strengthening of Literacy and Multimedia Learning Resources for Digital Education in Primary and Secondary Schools", which aims to install Integrated Multimedia Libraries (IMLs) in schools in order to strengthen students' learning in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).
